2. Editorial independence
Our ratings, rankings, and recommendations are determined by our published methodology and by direct hands-on testing. They are not influenced by:
- Commission rates paid by any partner

- Free or discounted product access (we pay for every tool we review)
If our honest assessment of a product is negative, we publish that assessment regardless of whether the product has an affiliate program. We have declined to publish reviews in the past rather than inflate a rating to match a commercial relationship — and we will do so again.

4. How commissions are used
Commissions earned through this site are used to:
- Pay for subscriptions to the tools we review (we pay retail for every tool)
- Cover hosting, domain registration, and analytics infrastructure
- Compensate the small panel of creators who help us score outputs blind
- Fund updates and re-tests, which we perform every 90 days on active reviews
We do not take external investment, do not sell data or email lists, and do not accept sponsored content of any kind.
5. Your consumer rights
Purchasing through an affiliate link does not affect the price you pay, your refund or cancellation rights, or your relationship with the vendor. You retain all the same consumer protections as if you had navigated to the vendor directly.
